Dear Chairwoman McDaniels;
2022 is an increasingly precarious time for our democracy, the unique American experiment in government of the people, by the people, and for the people that was never supposed to “perish from the earth.”
The ex-president, rejected by 81,283,098 Americans, shamelessly attempted to overthrow the 2020 election and continues, abetted by the Republican National Committee (RNC), Republicans in Congress, and state legislatures across the country along with ratings-hungry media members, to perpetuate the ‘BIG LIE.’
Republican legislators in red states are manipulating laws and regulations to seize power to unilaterally overturn the will of the people and install Republican candidates.
To what end?
The answer is starkly simple: the GOP fears losing power to shifting demographics that represent the true face of America today.
Yet, rather than work to create a legislative platform to address the diverse interests of multicultural Americans, the RNC has chosen to use duplicity, insinuations, and baseless accusations to trash opponents and promote the ‘BIG LIE’ to scare up votes for GOP candidates.
And, as Chairwoman of the RNC, what have you done?
Have you put avarice for power, privilege, and wealth ahead of the best interests of the American people by leading the RNC’s efforts to endorse GOP flimflammers with words, actions, and silence, or any combination thereof?
You must know that thinking voters are sick and tired of chronic GOP obstructionism, hate speech, smears, and lies and are outraged by the preposterous claim that violent protests can be “legitimate political discourse.”
In November, mindful voters will ask the obvious question: “Why should I vote for any Republican in 2022 or 2024?”
Whether or not you, anyone associated with the RNC, or any Republican politician ever publicly confesses the truth, you know the equally obvious answer.
