RNC Chair Reince Priebus: Darrell Issa to have ‘quite a summer’

Oh, the Republican Party has struck gold when the Republican National Committee elected its worst chairman in its history, Reince Priebus.  All that comes out of Priebus' month is just everything that other Republicans seem to sputter out of theirs:  All about power and no substance.

In other words, Priebus is an empty shell.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said Tuesday that House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) will be having “quite a summer” investigating the IRS controversy plaguing the White House.

“If [President Barack Obama] did not know anything, then I think it suggests a level of aloofness or perhaps even incompetence that I think is pretty disturbing in its own right,” Priebus said on Fox News. “This is not the end of the line, it’s just the beginning, and I’ve got a good feeling that Darrell Issa is going to be having quite a summer in reviewing what’s been going on here in the White House as far as this scandal is concerned.”

Ha!  Priebus has a good feeling!  Did you hear that folks?  

Let me ask you Mr. Priebus, is this the same good feeling you had when you thought Mitt Romney was going to win the presidential election last November?

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus predicted a Romney victory based on projected wins in several swing states (polls of which are less definitively optimistic for Romney).

"I feel real good that if the election was held today, we’d be winning today. If the election is tied, we’re going to win the election," Priebus said during a press conference today kicking off the GOP’s "rapid response" effort during the Democratic National Convention.

"Independents are not going to suddenly have an epiphany," Priebus continued, "and decide that everything is great."

Thinking back retrospectively to September 2012, when this article was published, I can't believe Priebus would say something like "independents are not going to suddenly have an epiphany and decide everything is great."

Does Priebus even understand what being an Independent is?  Nope, didn't think so.

So what makes Priebus now believe that Darrell "Darth" Issa is going to have a good summer?
